Admittance

Ph.D. candidates or junior post-doctoral researchers are invited to apply. A total of 40 will be accepted at the Summer School.

Applicants may be of any nationality. Non EU students may need a VISA to enter Italy. The school will try to facilitate the visa process (e.g. by forwarding a letter of invitation) but cannot guarantee a successful VISA application which will remain full responsibility of the applicants. Admission will be pronounced based on academic performance, scientific achievements, recommendation letter and letter of motivation. A good working knowledge of English is required in order to follow the lectures and to participate in the discussion.

Participation to the GLOBALDIV Summer School is FREE of CHARGE, but students will need to cover their travel, meals and lodging expenses.

GLOBALDIV will support for full board accommodation (including lodging and meals) in Piacenza to the best 8 applicants among students coming from East Europe, Asia, Africa and South/Central America. Travel costs will remain to the responsibilities of students.
