 Intercity train tickets can be booked on: https://bilet.intercity.pl/irez/

Trip duration
If you are planning a trip, make sure you select a suitable train –regular trains can take as much as twice the time to cover the same distance. E.g., the distance between Warsaw and Krakow is covered by a fast Intercity train in three hours, and over five hours by a regular train.

In Poland, train fares are priced subject to distance, class and train category. First class, intercity, couchette and sleeping cars tickets carry a surcharge. A booking charge is added to the price of intercity tickets.
Fast and express (called POSPIESZNY) trains run between the largest cities. Fast trains run between the larger cities without stopping at smaller stations.

Regional trains (called OSOBOWY) carry passengers to smaller towns. Traveling by slower trains you can visit smaller Polish towns and villages. These trains usually run over short routes and often stop at all the local stations.
Train standards

Polish trains have very diverse standards. Express trains offer the highest luxury of travel, followed by regional and local trains. All trains, except for the local ones, are divided into first and second class carriages.

Intercity trains and many express trains have a separate restaurant coach. Some trains have special smoking compartments.

Long-distance trains are often equipped with additional sleeping-cars.

COACH TRAVEL:
Tickets
Ticket prices depend on the class of transport and length of the route. One way bus tickets are available. If you have to change coaches during your trip you will have to buy a ticket for each leg of the trip. Ticket are marked with the date and time of departure and are only valid for the designated trip.

For a coach trip across Poland from the south to the north (i.e. from the mountains to the sea) you will pay, depending on the coach class, between PLN 60 and 100. The faree from central Poland to major cities (e.g. from Warsaw to Krakow) will coast about PLN 40 - 50.

You may ask the ticket attendant about special promotional prices and available discounts.

Where to buy tickets?

It is most covenient to buy your ticket at a travel agent or a coach terminal. It may be possible, although not recommended, to buy it from the coach driver. When there are many passengers queuing up for seats those with the ticket in hand will be served first. Coach seats are normally numbered, although it may not be the case with smaller coach operators.

CITY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Tickets for BUSES and TRAMS are sold at newsagent kiosks. One ticket is used for all means of public transport and is valid for buses, trams and the underground. In some towns you can buy tickets from the driver (at a surcharge), from ticket machines on board or at underground stations.
TAXI
You can call for a taxi, go to a taxi rank or hail it in the street. For your own comfort and safety choose only a taxi with the operator logo and/or beacon displayed. Before the driver sets off, you may ask about the approximate fare price and make sure that the taximeter is clearly displayed.
